3 January 2013: In early June 2012, a land dispute between the Konkomba and Moba communities in Namkpandouri, Togo, turned violent and claimed the lives of three people. The dispute also caused severe material damage and loss of livestock. As a consequence, an estimated 2,092 people from the Moba community have fled to villages in central and northern Togo. These areas have some of the highest food insecurity and malnutrition rates in the country.
