CERF provides $4 million to populations affected by flooding in Cambodia
25 October 2011: The Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) has provided more than $4 million in life-saving funds for flood-affected populations in Cambodia. Flood waters have displaced over 150,000 people who sought refuge on high ground and along national highways while leaving others stranded and unable to flee the appalling conditions left by the rising waters. In total, the flooding has affected over one million people and led to more than 250 deaths. While some families have been able to return home, over 30,000 households remain displaced and unable to return due to the flooding.
