2013 was a busy year for the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF). The fund allocated US$482 million to help relief agencies respond to man-made crises and natural disasters in 45 countries.

In new or rapidly deteriorating crises, CERF helped aid agencies deliver immediate life-saving relief with more than $307 million through its rapid-response window.
