CERF allocates $15 million for 1.7 million food-insecure people in Niger
12 August 2010: In response to severe food insecurity across the country, CERF allocates $15 million for 1.7 million vulnerable people in Niger.

US $229 MILLION NEEDED TO STEP UP FOOD SECURITY AND NUTRITION INTERVENTIONS IN NIGER
(Niamey/New York, 20 July 2010): Aid organizations in Niger today launched the revised Emergency Humanitarian Action Plan (EHAP) requesting over US$371 million to respond to the deteriorating humanitarian situation, almost doubling the earlier requirement of $190 million.
