Southern Africa Flood and Cyclone Situation Update #12

HIGHLIGHTS / KEY PRIORITIES

· The UN Country Team in Namibia is preparing to issue a Flash Appeal for US $2.2 million to support authorities in responding to floods in the north of the country.

· In Karonga District of northern Malawi, at least 4,658 households have been affected by flooding. Assessments are ongoing to determine more precisely numbers of persons affected and their needs.
