A glimpse into the situation on the ground in Mogadishu, where aid workers are braving daily insecurity to help people survive

Half a year after the declaration of famine, Somalia continues to face one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world. Four million people still need humanitarian assistance, and insecurity is severely hampering the ability of aid agencies to deliver.

In these images, we see some of the daily reality of saving lives in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
