Sudan: United Nations Emergency Fund allocates US$5.5 million to assist flood affected people in Sudan [EN/AR]
The United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) is providing US $5.5 million for lifesaving humanitarian assistance to people affected by recent flooding in Sudan. In total, 93 people were killed and some 340,000 people affected by floods. The CERF funds will also be supplemented by an emergency allocation from the Sudan Common Humanitarian Fund (CHF).
