Sudan: Global humanitarian appeal includes more than US$900 million for Sudan [EN/AR]

Sudan: 16 Days Campaign challenges violence against women (EN/AR)

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women - the annual 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign was launched.

Every day, women and girls face violence in the home, in communities, in conflicts, in aftermaths of natural disasters. It is estimated that up to 70 per cent of women and girls continue to suffer from violence or live in fear of it.

Sudan: Sudan Government and UN Sign $1billion Development Assistance Framework


Khartoum- July 2, 2012

The Government of Sudan and the United Nations signed today the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) for the Republic of Sudan 2013-2016. The signing of this framework culminated joint efforts exerted by UN Agencies and all relative line ministries under the leadership of both the UN Country Team and the Ministry of International Cooperation.

Sudan: CERF gives $882,075 to provide life-saving transport assistance to stranded South Sudanese
