Highlights

• Ongoing violence, looting and killings by anti-Balaka and ex-Seleka armed groups in Bangui and north-western Central African Republic (CAR) continue to drive out thousands of people to neighboring countries.

Chad: Floods - Update on the Flooding situation, 19 August 2012

I. HIGHLIGHTS/KEY PRIORITIES

  • Floods in Rig Rig district, Kanem left 3,000 people homeless. Houses infrastructure severely damaged.

  • Floods in Koukou, Sila displaced approx.1804 people. Goz Amir refugee camp affected.
