Pictures from the frontlines: Saving lives in Somalia
Half a year after the declaration of famine, Somalia continues to face one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world. Four million people still need humanitarian assistance, and insecurity is severely hampering the ability of aid agencies to deliver.
Nonetheless, many humanitarian workers remain on the ground, helping people wherever they can - and braving some of the most difficult conditions on Earth.
In these images, we see some of the daily reality of saving lives in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
