Environmental Emergencies: Training

With its partners, OCHA organizes Environmental Emergencies Training aimed to build capacity by preparing environmental experts from national agencies and the private sector for international emergency deployments. This in turn strengthens the international response capacity for environmental emergencies and ensures an integrated effort in the field.
 
Examples of trainings conducted in 2010 are the Environmental Emergencies Training course that took place in Arlington, Virginia (USA) and the Environmental Emergencies Refresher Training organized in Sandö (Sweden).
