Country-based Pooled Funds

Country-based Pooled Funds (CBPF) are humanitarian funding mechanisms established at country level to provide timely and predictable funding to address the most critical needs of vulnerable people affected by a humanitarian crisis or disaster. There are two types of CBPF: Common Humanitarian Funds (CHFs) and Emergency Response Funds (ERFs). These mechanisms are supported by a broad range of donors.

The CBPF provide grants to humanitarian NGOs and UN agencies based on a comprehensive consultation and prioritization process by the members of the humanitarian community present on the ground. There are currently 18 active funds, as shown in the map below. For more information, click on a specific country or visit the CHF and ERF pages in this section. For information on allocations of specific Funds, please visit the Pooled Funds page on Financial Tracking Service.
