The Humanitarian Coordinator (HC) is responsible for the overall management of the Myanmar Humanitarian Fund (MHF) and is accountable for the use of funds. The MHF Advisory Board, chaired by the HC, and formed by UN agencies, NGOs and donor representatives, advises on the use of funds and the governance of the MHF. On a day-to-day basis, the MHF is managed by OCHA Myanmar’s Humanitarian Financing Unit on behalf of the HC.  

The MHF is guided by the Global Country-Based Pooled Fund Guidelines. This guidance is reflected in the localized MHF Operational Manual together with relevant annexes to provide technical guidance, tools and templates used in the management of the Fund. The funds contracted to partners are further subject to the United Nations Financial Regulations and Rules.
