Eligibility

Non-governmental organizations interested in applying for funding under the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) are required to participate and fulfil in the following three criteria: 

  • Passed the YHF capacity assessment. 
  • Due diligence status in the YHF One Grant Management System is approved. 
  • Has no outstanding YHF oversight and compliance issues.

Briefly the YHF capacity assessment is as follows:

  1. Open Call: The YHF opens a call for applications based on a specific criterion.  
  2. Preliminary screening: Prospective partners undergo screening to assess if they meet the basic and minimum standards. 
  3. Registration of organization profile: Prospective partners must register in the UN Partner Portal (UNPP); once the UNPP profile is verified, partners can create a profile on the YHF Grants Management System.  
  4. Due diligence: A thorough due diligence review is conducted to verify the organization’s information provided. 
  5. Capacity assessment: A full capacity assessment is conducted to evaluate the partner's institutional, technical, managerial, and financial capacities.  
  6. Initial risk level assignment: Based on the capacity assessment score, eligible partners are assigned a risk level (high, medium, or low).
