Andrea De Domenico was appointed OCHA's Head of Office in Ukraine in 2026. He brings more than 20 years of experience in humanitarian assistance and emergency relief both in the field and in headquarters. Before joining Ukraine, Andrea served as Head of OCHA's Office in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. where he managed the coordination of humanitarian response during the first year of the war. Before taking on that assignment, De Domencio worked in OCHA New York in Humanitarian Financing, initially as Head of Unit and then as the Chief of the Country-Based Pooled Fund Section. Prior to that he worked for OCHA in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Before joining OCHA, De Domencio worked with various non-governmental organizations managing humanitarian and relief programmes in Albania, DRC, Ecuador, Kosovo and Pakistan. An Italian national, De Domenico has a Bachelor's degree in International Law from Université Paris XI, a Master's degree in Political Science from Università di Padova and a Master's in International Relations from Università LUISS, Rome.
