Global Humanitarian Overview 2024

On 11 December 2023, OCHA will launch the Global Humanitarian Overview (GHO) 2024. The GHO events will take place in three locations on the same day: Doha, Qatar (with the Doha Forum and the State of Qatar); Geneva, Switzerland; and in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (in collaboration with the African Union Commission).  

These consecutive events aim to raise global awareness of pressing humanitarian needs and support systemwide resource mobilisation efforts, with the overarching theme of “Transforming Humanitarian Action:  People at the Centre”, reflecting our commitment to greater inclusiveness and effectiveness. 

The sub-themes for each location are:
