5. SOUNDBITE (English) Tom Fletcher, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator:
“I've seen today the importance of what UNRWA is doing. Education, health, livelihoods. But most importantly, giving Palestinians communities here some hope. And at the core of that is giving these young people a sense of the future and a sense of opportunity. You can take everything away, but as long as you have that sense of hope, then there’s something to cling to. And that is why UNRWA’s role is so important and so essential. And that’s why there is no plan B.”
6. Pan left, bread distribution
7. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Aalya, Shatila camp resident:
“We simply cannot afford to enroll our children in other schools. When we heard that UNRWA schools might close, all the parents were deeply worried. Keeping these schools open is not just important, it's essential for our children. It's the only way to ensure the next generation is well-educated.”

11. Tracking shot, entrance of Tebnine Governmental Hospital
12. Various shots, UN Delegation surveying damage to the hospital
13. SOUNDBITE (English) Tom Fletcher Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator:
“Hospitals like this should not be a target during conflict. This is the one hospital out of seven that stayed functional all the way through, serving 35 villages. Civilian infrastructure, hospitals must be protected during conflict.”
14. Tracking shot, pan left, destruction in Tebnine, UN delegation walking
15. Various shots, USG Fletcher in conversation with medical teams.
16. SOUNDBITE (English) Tom Fletcher, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator:
“The nurses and doctors I just met, the humanitarian workers, they stayed. And when so many people would have fled, so many of us would have fled, they stuck around and they carried on even in the toughest circumstances, delivering for those that we, as humanitarians, are here to serve. So we take - from this place of despair and destruction - we should also take a message of hope and solidarity”.

Storyline
