Michel Saad

Michel Saad was appointed OCHA's Deputy Director of the Crisis Response Division in 2023 and leads the Middle East and North Africa Branch. Over the past two decades, Michel has worked across a range of humanitarian and multilateral settings, including assignments in Ethiopia and the Regional Office for Asia Pacific. This includes 13 years with the International Committee for the Red Cross leading operations in Ukraine, Côte d’Ivoire, Iraq, Jordan, and India. Saad holds a Master's degree in International Law. A Lebanese national, Saad, is fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Russian.
