The Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW), co-chaired by OCHA and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), provides a unique forum for humanitarian networks and partnerships to meet and address key humanitarian issues. The largest humanitarian event of its kind gathers participants from the UN, NGOs, Member States, the private sector, the military, academia and beyond to discuss and solve common challenges in humanitarian affairs. During the week, Networks and Partnerships hold their annual meetings and consultations, share their expertise and collaborate on best practices to address shared problems.
Leading Edge Programme (LEP)
The Leading Edge Programme (LEP) is a year-round collaborative platform for humanitarian expert networks and partnerships with the aim of developing sustainable solutions to recurring, cross-cutting issues in emergency preparedness and response. The LEP’s annual event is the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW), held in Geneva since 2015.
HNPW took place at the International Conference Centre (CICG) in Geneva from 4-8 February 2019. More than 25 Networks and Partnerships held their annual meetings during the week. An Inter-Network Day on Wednesday, 6 February offered participants from all backgrounds and sectors the opportunity to learn, exchange knowledge and network with one another.
