RHPF LAC: Haiti - Standard Allocation 1 (as of 16 April 2025)

Attachments

The humanitarian situation in Haiti has deteriorated sharply since March 2024, with the intensification of coordinated attacks by armed groups in the Port-au-Prince Metropolitan Area and the Artibonite department. This increase in violence has worsened the vulnerability of the affected population, triggering internal displacement for hundreds of thousands of people.

This first allocation of US$4 million in Haiti as part of the Regional Humanitarian Pooled Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean (RHPF LAC), represents crucial support in a constantly deteriorating humanitarian context. As a first priority, this allocation aims to support both displaced populations and host communities in Grande Anse, by meeting their essential needs, preserving social cohesion, and preventing pressure on basic services from forcing displaced people to flee to spontaneous sites. A second priority focuses on the operationalization of cross-cutting protection in communities affected by armed violence in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince.
