In the end of 2025, the Nigeria Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP) secured $281.9 million, which represents about 31% of the total $910.2 million required to meet the urgent needs of 3.6 million individuals affected by conflict in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states. Despite funding challenges, the response successfully reached 1.6 million people, or roughly 44% of the target population. This included 600 thousand internally displaced persons (IDPs), 200 thousand returnees, and 800 thousand individuals from host communities. This achievement highlights the collaborative efforts of donors and the 137 partners involved, which include 6 UN agencies, 27 international NGOs, 88 national NGOs, and 5 government partners. However, the ongoing success of these vital humanitarian initiatives depends on obtaining additional funding to sustain and enhance their impact.
