The Reserve Allocation, supported by the US contribution to the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF) and aligned with the Humanitarian Coordinator’s vision, aims to rapidly scale up life-saving, multi-sectoral assistance through a six-month fast-track approach. Its geographic focus is guided by a field-driven prioritization process, ensuring that resources reach the most affected populations, particularly in high-severity conflict areas and displacement sites.

The allocation is structured around three key pillars: strengthening joint supply systems and logistics, expanding cash-based assistance, and supporting critical enabling services such as security and mine action. Priority sectors include MPCA, food security, health, WASH, nutrition, protection, and shelter, with a strong emphasis on delivering direct, life-saving assistance.

Multipurpose cash assistance under this allocation aims to support the most severely affected people across 84 hyper-prioritized locations, enabling them to meet their most urgent needs in a way that preserves dignity, choice, and safety, while contributing to their overall protection. Across all projects, protection is systematically mainstreamed to ensure that interventions safeguard dignity, promote safety, and prioritize the needs of the most vulnerable groups, including women, children, and persons with specific needs.

To sustain and expand this critical response, partners and donors are encouraged to contribute financially to the Sudan Humanitarian Fund, helping to ensure that flexible, timely, and life-saving assistance can continue to reach those most in need.
