OCHA Turkey is one of the three OCHA hubs that implement the Syria Strategic Response Plan 2015 collectively in the spirit of the Whole of Syria approach. OCHA Turkey therefore supports cross-border humanitarian assistance operations under UN Security Council resolutions 2139, 2165/2191 and coordinates the cross-border response of humanitarian partners to the Syrian crisis from Turkey.
OCHA Turkey works with humanitarian partners including international and Syrian NGOs and various governmental and other authorities to support needs assessments, share information on response, provide access analysis and facilitate the operating environment including on border crossing regulations. OCHA supports the southern Turkey coordination architecture comprised of nine clusters, the inter-cluster coordination group and the Humanitarian Liaison Group (HLG) under the leadership of the Deputy Regional Humanitarian Coordinator (DRHC).
